New York's governor says they're all out to get him, and President Obama, and other black politicians, the Daily News reports. Calling for more "black" media outlets to balance things out, David Paterson blamed his 30% popularity rating on white reporters and commentators. "We have a media that doesn't report the news," he said. "We have a media that wants to make the news."
"My feeling is it's being orchestrated, it's a game, and people who pay attention know that," said Paterson, referring to a "crescendo" of calls that he not run for re-election next year. He said the nation's other black governor, Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, also faces undue scrutiny because of his race. “The next victim on the list is President Barack Obama. We're not in the post-racial period.” (More David Paterson stories.)
