Thousands more well-wishers flocked to the Kennedy Library in Boston today to pay their respects to Ted Kennedy, the Globe reports. Mourners stood in an eight-wide line that snaked back and forth throughout the parking lot. Among the mourners were several state lawmakers, a group from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and noted Republican activist Polly Logan.
“I’m pretty happy to celebrate this guy’s life,” said one union worker who traveled from New Hampshire. “We lost a good man.” Another woman brought her children, aged 10 and 8. “They don’t understand just now what Senator Kennedy did for this country,” she said. “He was a remarkable leader, and he knew people like nobody else.” (More Ted Kennedy stories.)
