One of the US Open women's semifinals may be a family affair: Both Williams sisters are making serious runs at the final four. Venus, seeded 12th, and eighth seed Serena haven't lost a set yet, and each buzzed through her fourth-round match yesterday in two sets. Serena showed no ill effects from her lingering sprained thumb.
Serena finished off France's Marion Bartoli with back-to-back aces in a 6-3, 6-4 victory, while Venus let Ana Ivanovic's mistakes do most of her work, beating the Serbian 6-4, 6-2. Serena will face top-seeded Justine Henin in the quarters, and Venus will take on No. 3 seed Jelena Jankovic. (More Serena Williams stories.)
