Japan's quirky new first lady boasts years of colorful experiences, including time as a dancer in the famed Takarazuka troupe—and a trip to space aboard a UFO, according to a book she wrote last year. "While my body was asleep, I think my soul rode on a triangular-shaped UFO and went to Venus," Miyuki Hatoyama wrote. "It was a very beautiful place and it was really green."

Miyuki, who met premier-in-waiting Yukio Hatoyama while he was a student at Stanford University, says she is looking forward to meeting America's first lady when the Obamas visit Japan later this year, reports Reuters. "I think she is so natural and has a kind of sensibility similar to mine," she said in a recent interview. (More Yukio Hatoyama stories.)
