With the “big pile of poo” stirred up by Megan Fox and the Transformers crew maintaining its place in the spotlight, it’s time to realize Fox “has guts to call a spade a spade”—in this case, by calling out director Michael Bay, writes Melissa Silverstein for the Huffington Post. Bay “is known in Hollywood for being a sexist.”

“It's Megan's job to do press. It's part of her job to create interest in the film to keep people coming back for more and more,” Silverstein continues, theorizing that the controversy “is about getting Megan to shut up. This is about getting women to shut up. It's about using sexist insults like being pretty and dumb to shut up a woman with opinions. Not cool.” (More Megan Fox stories.)
