Did Glenn Beck boil a widdle bitty frog on national television? It sure looked that way for a second, especially in a video bouncing around the blogosphere today. After explaining the adage that a frog will jump out if you throw it into boiling water, the Fox host appears to take a small jumping frog and toss it into a not-so-proverbial pot of boiling water. Spoiler alert: The frog is rubber.
Apparently this was supposed to be a metaphor for—something. John McCain was involved for some reason, as was Theodore Roosevelt. Anyway, Beck didn’t actually stew Kermit. His play-by-play of the stunt ends: “Forget about the Republicans, because most of them are fake. Forget about the Democrats, because most of them are fake. And forget about the frog, because it was fake!”
