The Indianapolis Colts, defending Super-Bowl champions, go helmet-to-helmet tonight against the New Orleans Saints to open the 2007 NFL season. The Saints, who were one game away from facing the Colts in Super Bowl XLI, could potentially meet them again next February in an unprecedented reprise of the season opener, reports the Indianapolis Star.
The Colts, who have built up a 39-9 record, have prevailed in their last 10 prime-time games. The Saints led the NFL in offense last season. Although quarterback Drew Brees would "love to think" that the teams might close this season at Super Bowl XLII, both he and Indy quarterback Peyton Manning are focused on tonight.
