'Pathetic' Seinfeld Reunion Invades Curb

Tonight's episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm will go farther than usual to satisfy your Seinfeld craving, but it's hardly the real thing—nor is it meant to be. The eagerly awaited reunion arc kicks off with Jerry Seinfeld himself deeming the very idea "desperate" and "pathetic," which he explains is true to his real-life reaction. And "surreal is the only word" to describe working on the sitcom's rescued sets, the comedian tells USA Today.

"There was no acting at all—zero," Seinfeld says of Curb creator and star Larry David's improvisational approach. "I was totally relaxed because I didn't have to remember any lines, and you say whatever you would normally say." Says David: "I was just struck by how easy it was for them to fall back into doing it. It was just a pleasure to watch them work again." (More Curb Your Enthusiasm stories.)
