Rapper Foxy Brown faces a year in jail for a July 30 assault on a Brooklyn woman who complained about loud music on Brown’s car stereo. Brown, 28, hit the woman with a cell phone in the latest in a string of probation violations that includes flinging hair glue at a Florida beauty-shop employee and fighting with a cop.

Brown's probation stems from a 2004 fight with two manicurists in a New York City nail salon. The judge who sentenced Brown on Friday was unmoved by the rapper's courtroom show of remorse, calling her "a great actress" and the apology "too little, too late." Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, will be eligible for parole in eight months; a month ago one of her lawyers said she was 3-months pregnant. (More Foxy Brown stories.)
