Jaycee: I'm Happy to Be Home
A grown-up Jaycee Dugard is shown on the cover of People magazine.   (People)

Jaycee Dugard’s 18-year kidnapping ordeal is over, and she spends her time now riding horses, cooking, and maybe collaborating on a book. The 29-year-old lives “a surprisingly normal life” with her mother and daughters Angel, 15, and Starlit, 11, says her mother’s stepmother. Now, Dugard speaks out for the first time since she was found two months ago. “I’m so happy to be back with my family,” she tells People—which also has the first photos of her as an adult.
