Fossett Hunt Yielding No Clues

Searchers combing Nevada for Steve Fossett's plane have found six other uncharted wrecks, but no sign of the millionaire adventurer who's been missing since Monday. One downed plane thought to be his was found to have been last registered 30 years ago, CNN reports. Fossett's family remains optimistic, despite the discovery that Fossett took off with only one water bottle.

Fossett didn't file a flight plan, but was thought to have been on the look-out for dry lake beds where he could try breaking the land-speed record in a rocket-propelled car. Crews have covered a lot of ground, but, "It's like you took a 500-piece puzzle and threw four pieces randomly on the floor and tried to make sense of them," said one searcher.
