Shooter Nidal Hasan repeatedly visited a local strip joint in the days leading up to the Fort Hood rampage, spending six hours at one stretch watching pole dancers, according to investigators. Insiders believe the behavior may have been one more indication that Hasan was about to snap. The 9/11 hijackers indulged in last-minute Western decadence at a Vegas strip bar before their attacks, notes the Telegraph.

"He was the kind of guy you could sit and talk with. He told me he was a doctor at Fort Hood and he was being deployed," said a woman who performed a lap dance for Hasan, who treated her with "respect." He asked women if they were married or had children, and was "more mature, shy and reserved" than the typical rowdy young soldiers who frequent the establishment, she noted. The strip club is just yards away from Guns Galore, where Hasan purchased the gun used in the Fort Hood rampage.
