Papi Puts Away the D-Rays With Just 2 Swings
Boston Red Sox's David Ortiz (34) jumps into the arms of teammates at home plate after hitting a two-run home off Tampa Bay Devil Rays' Al Reyes in the ninth inning of a baseball game at Boston's Fenway Park, Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007. Jonathan Papelbon got the win, but it was David Ortiz who had all the RBIs in Boston's 5-4 defeat of the Devil Rays last night at Fenway, AP reports . Ortiz went deep in the third inning to narrow Tampa Bay's 4-0 lead to 4-3, and came through again in the ninth for the walk-off runs.

Boston starter Jon Lester gave up all four of the Rays' runs in the first inning, and left in the fourth. With the win, the Red Sox hold on to their five-game lead over the Yankees in the American League East division race.  The Yankees, currently on a seven-game winning streak, arrive in Boston tomorrow for a three-game series.
