Free Tomorrow in LA? Karaoke With Porn Stars

Karaoke and porn are about as popular as pastimes get—and if you’re free tomorrow night you can combine ‘em at a Los Angeles-area bar. Industry types started hanging out at Sardo’s—which also hosts G-rated Family Fridays—a few years ago, and now on Tuesdays, the bar’s site proclaims, “they get drunk and entertain each other in any way that the law will permit, all loosely disguised as karaoke.”

And, regulars tell the AP, it’s a must stop for anyone in porn, or wanting in. “Anytime you come to LA you’ve got to spend Tuesday night at Sardo’s. That’s where you meet the directors and the producers,” says one promoter. “I’ve made a hundred deals here,” echoes a film editor. As to the stars-turned-songbirds, they say it’s not as easy as you might think: “The first time I got up to sing I was more nervous than the first time I took my clothes off and had sex in front of people.”
