As Tea Party wrath brews, conservatives are hoping the anti-tax activists put their money where their mouth is in 2010—and a plethora of political action committees are springing up, angling for a piece of the pie. Dick Armey's Freedomworks Foundation launches its Take Back America PAC this week and the group, which aims to support conservative Republican candidates nationwide, is entering an increasingly crowded field.

Conservative leaders say it'll take cash for the Tea Party movement to flex its political muscle, although some worry that the fundraising issue and sheer number of PACs will splinter the movement further. “I am going to sit back and watch these groups shape up and not advise anyone to give them money until they’ve actually gone through an election cycle," the founder of conservative blog RedState.com tells Politico.
