Nashville police are seeking a bad Santa who robbed a local bank and fled with a red sack full of cash. The man, dressed in a Santa suit and sunglasses, "took his little red sack and pulled out a gun and told everyone to be still," one witness said. "He was actually jovial, which was scary. He explained that he was robbing the bank because Santa had to pay his elves."

"Santa" stuffed his bag with an undisclosed amount of cash before making his getaway—in a gray car, not a sleigh. It's the first time in recent years that a Santa suit has been used in a robbery in the area, the Independent reports, although there have been many similar heists elsewhere in the US. The most notorious was when a "Santa" shot dead six people during a bank robbery in Texas in 1927.
