Entertainment / YouTube 6 Potential Prop 8 Trial Viral Videos When California's gay marriage ban goes to court, it could also go viral By Evann Gastaldo, Newser Staff Posted Jan 7, 2010 12:13 PM CST Copied Protesters hold signs in front of the Mormon Church during a "No on Prop 8" rally in Los Angeles to protest the church's monetary support of Prop 8, Nov. 6, 2008. (AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes, File) California’s trial on the constitutionality of Proposition 8’s gay marriage ban is going on YouTube—but will it go viral? Adrian Chen dreams up six ways that could happen, however unlikely, on Gawker: Someone gets tasered: Say, “a wedding dress-clad gay marriage activist or crucifix toting gay marriage opponent” sprinting through the courtroom. Someone makes a great speech: Preferably, an obscure California politician taking the cue of New York lawmaker Diane Savino. Someone drops the F-word: No, not “f---.” The other one. Two words: hot lesbians: A beautiful woman and her partner, instead of testifying, “engage in a powerful make-out session for five minutes.” Earthquake: Just as a preacher is condemning the sin of homosexuality, “CALIFORNIA FALLS INTO THE SEA!!!!" Last but not least: “Adam Lambert humps a court reporter’s face.” (More YouTube stories.) Report an error
