Andrew Young's new tell-all book about his ex-boss John Edwards piles on the creepy details of the disgraced former candidate's dalliance with Rielle Hunter. Some highlights from the New York Daily News's peek inside Young's The Politician:

• While terminally ill Elizabeth was away, Edwards had sex with Hunter in his wife's bed, then promised to someday marry her on a Manhattan rooftop.

• When Edwards found out Hunter was pregnant, he called her a "crazy slut" and demanded she abort the child; Hunter refused on grounds the child was "the reincarnated spirit of a Buddhist monk who would rescue the world."
• The notorious sex tape shows Edwards with the pregnant Hunter.
• It was at least partly because he knew voters loved Elizabeth that Edwards refused to consider divorcing his wife.
