First Jay Leno Promo Digs at Conan

NBC aired the first promo for Jay Leno’s return to the Tonight Show last night, and it seems to include an underhanded dig at Conan O’Brien. The ad, a sequel to last year’s Super Bowl promo for the Jay Leno Show, shows a “10” decal flying off Leno’s sports car to reveal a new one: “11:35.” The mean part? The Beatles sing, “Get back to where you once belonged” in the background.

“So, is NBC saying that Conan never deserved the seat they gave him and then took away?” writes Mike Hess on PopEater. “Keep in mind, Conan can't say anything—disparaging or not—about NBC and his fallout with the network until September, thanks to his $45 million settlement.” Watch last year’s promo, which featured Jay driving down the road in the very same Shelby Cobra with a “10” decal, by clicking here.
