Final John Hughes Script May See Big Screen

John Hughes died last year—last night's Academy Awards even paused for a tribute—but he may have one more movie in him. Rumor has it that Paramount will pick up an unproduced Hughes script in the hopes of making a family comedy, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Grisbys Go Broke follows a rich family that loses everything and is forced to move to the country.

Paramount says it’s not negotiating to buy the screenplay, but the studio would be a natural choice—it's where Hughes made his most famous movies. It also produced his last film, Drillbit Taylor, though that one was rewritten from Hughes’ original by Seth Rogen and Kristofor Brown and ultimately flopped.
