Alex Hermann is 17 years old, autistic, and has picked the correct winner of every one of the 48 games of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament played so far—including three far-fetched upsets. An online odds-maker puts the likelihood of Hermann’s feat at 1 in 13,460,000, akin to winning the lottery...twice. “I’m kind of good at math,” he tells NBC Chicago, “and at stats I see on TV during the game.”

Hermann, with help from his brother, entered his bracket online at CBSSports, but—alas, alack—chose the only of its 3 bracket games that doesn’t offer prizes for correct predictions. It’s also the only one that can be changed after the tourney starts—didn’t happen, his family says—so CBS can’t confirm his astonishing feat.
