We like our men tall, dark, handsome…and able to whisper sweet nothings in a monotone voice? Apparently so. A new study shows that steady-voiced men have more sexual partners, thanks to the fact that such voices exude authority and confidence. Not convinced? Turns out a monotone voice doesn’t have to sound like your boss at a boring company meeting: It could sound like George Clooney or Clint Eastwood, the Telegraph reports.
Less surprisingly, the study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior journal also found that men who said macho things like “I am bigger and stronger than most men” were also found to be more attractive.
