Interpol is issuing an unprecedented worldwide appeal for help in tracking an elusive sexual abuser of more than 12 young boys. In 2004, the global police body received about 200 photos of a man abusing boys, with his face obscured by a swirl pattern. Computer experts decoded the swirl, but police haven’t been able to identify the resulting face, Reuters reports.
Police identified two locations from the photos—a Vietnamese hotel, and an outdoor spot in Cambodia—but those trails went cold. “We have tried all other means to bring him to justice,” said Interpol’s secretary general, “but we are convinced that without the public's help this sexual predator could continue to rape and sexually abuse children.” (More Interpol stories.)
