The victory is all the more impressive considering Dominik Hasek was out with a bruised left knee and goalie Chris Osgood was playing his first game of the season. Mikael Samuelson clinched the game for the Wings in the third, firing a strike from the top of the circle on a power play. "We're off to a good start, but a good start is measured after 20 games," said coach Mike Babcock. "By winning, you earn the right to be confident."
