Elena Kagan shows herself to be hands-on, political, and more than a little, shall we say, blunt, in thousands of pages of emails released by Bill Clinton's presidential library. The release is the third and final handed over for Senate scrutiny ahead of her confirmation hearings, and reveals "There is no chapter from her professional life for which we do not have significant records," says Pat Leahy. Jeff Sessions, however, says the emails show a "troubling pattern" of making "legal decisions based not on the law but instead on her very liberal politics."
