Everyone knows your chances of getting hit by lightning are way better than your chances of winning the lottery, so Joan Ginther must live in perpetual fear underground. The 63-year-old scored $10 million in the Texas lottery—her fourth win since 1993 for a total of $20.4 million, reports ABC15.com. Her wins include:
- 1993: $5.4 million share of an $11 million jackpot. Her take: $270,00 a year for 19 years.
- 2006: With only 6 years of payments left, Ginther scored a $2 million jackpot. Her take: a $1.5 million lump-sum payment.
- 2008: A $3 million jackpot headed Ginther's way.
It's worth noting that Ginther has been a resident of Las Vegas during her last three wins.
