French police confirm poisoning in embassy in Paris

Three employees of the US embassy in Paris are being treated for poisoning after opening mail today. French police confirmed the poisoning to Reuters but were not able to provide any further details about the type or seriousness of poison the embassy employees were exposed to. The embassy spokesman has not yet commented.
