When it comes to women and their priorities, weight ranks higher than sex. About half the women surveyed in a recent Nutrisystem poll said they'd rather go without sex all summer than pack on 10 pounds. And it's not just the ladies who feel this way: 25% of men agreed. Other findings, as reported by USA Today:

  • More respondents would rather lose 10 to 20 pounds over the summer than get promoted.

  • Some 66% of people said they would need to lose weight to feel sexier than they do now. How much? An average of 23 pounds.
  • Three-quarters of respondents would forgo something (using the computer, watching TV, etc.) in exchange for a flat stomach.
  • But those surveyed had plenty of reasons for not dieting: about 50% want to keep eating the foods they love, 33% find dieting inconvenient, and 25% think it's stressful.
