Google Movie in the Works

The Social Network is going to have some competition in the tech start-up thriller genre. Producers have bought the rights to the book Googled: The End of the World As We Know it and plan to make a movie based on the story of Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page and the search site that made them billionaires.

"It's about these two young guys who created a company that changed the world, and how the world in turn changed them," producer Michael London tells Deadline. "The heart of the movie is their wonderful edict, don't be evil. At a certain point in the evolution of a company so big and powerful, there are a million challenges to that mandate." There's no Twitter or YouTube movie in the works yet, although spoof trailers abound, click here for a look.
