Snake Guarding Cocaine Found by Police

Before police in Canada found bears guarding a marijuana grow-op, Italian police astoundingly found a snake doing the same, but with cocaine. When police entered a flat in Rome, they were greeted with a 10-foot hissing albino python coiled around a 200-gram cache of the white powder. After feeding the serpent a whole chicken to pacify it, they were able to capture the reptile and turn it over to the Rome Zoo.

Drug traffickers who occupied the space apparently kept the snake hungry to put fear into customers who were indebted to them. The leader of the group, an unidentified woman, and 11 men have since been arrested. Read the full article at ANSA.
