Who knew an attempted rape could turn out so well? (Relax; the perv was pounced on.) Antoine Dodson, 24, became an instant hit after he fought off an attacker who climbed in his sister's bedroom in the Huntsville projects in Alabama. The over-the-top, exuberantly gay Dodson struck a chord with TV news viewers as he exquisitely expressed his anger at the crime and the infuriating conditions of project living. "Obviously, we have a rapist in Lincoln Park," Dodson pontificated. "He's climbing in your windows. He's snatching your people up. So you all need to hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband, 'cause they're rapin' everybody out here."

Antoine's speech—an instant YouTube sensation—was even better in a music video "remix" created by a couple of viewers and dubbed the Bed Intruder Song that toted up millions of extra hits. Now, Dodson's hoping the attention will get his family out of the projects, even though his sis warned him he risks looking like a "fool." Dodson's earning profits from the remix and using the internet to sell t-shirts with favorite catch phrases from his venting. And he loves his vid. "Hearing that video, it gave us some type of happiness," he tells NPR. "It was really cool to hear our voice on the track." (More Antoine Dodson stories.)
