Sarah Palin warned Karl Rove yesterday to "buck up" and get with the Tea Party program after he lashed Delaware Senate primary winner Christine O'Donnell and her "nutty" ideas. "To those who say that the GOP nominee is not electable and that they're not even going to try, well I say, 'Buck up, buck up," Palin told Fox News. Karl Rove needs to "realize that the time for primary debate is over and it's time for unity—we need to go forth and conquer for the American people," she added. Rove has been one of the most outspoken conservative critics of O'Donnell.

He has already written off the Delaware Senate seat, expecting it will be lost to the Democrats. Rove has said he has no problem with O'Donnell's issues, but is concerned about her "character" and background, pointing out "troubling questions" about O'Donnell's tax dodging, fudges on her college record and her paranoia that people are following her. "How does she make a living?" Rove asked on Fox. "Why did she mislead voters about her college education?" What about "the people who are following her and how she checks each night in the bushes? There's a lot of nutty things she's been saying," he added. O'Donnell said yesterday Rove's "credibility" has been hurt by her victory. (More Sarah Palin headlines here.)
