Conservative blogger Will Folks is sticking to his guns about his alleged affair with Nikki Haley, giving a sworn affidavit in which he says he had “romantic encounters” with the would-be governor in his apartment, her Statehouse office, and her Cadillac. “Rep. Haley specifically requested that I notify her in the event this relationship was getting serious so that she could ‘back off,’” the statement helpfully adds, according to the AP.

The affidavit was signed before a notary public at the behest of a two-week-old group called Conservatives for Truth in Politics, which opposes Haley. It hasn’t been filed in any court. Haley’s other alleged paramour, lobbyist Larry Marchant, says he’ll provide an affidavit, as well. But Haley’s campaign brushed off the allegations. “There is something about the days just before an election that makes certain people want to get back in the newspapers,” said her campaign manager. “These accusations weren’t true in June, they aren’t true now.” (More Nikki Haley stories.)
