A would-be terrorist whose testimony against his co-conspirators played a key role in the prosecution of the "millennium" plan to bomb LAX fell back into a life of crime after prison, the AP reports. Abdel Ghani Meskini, who served a lenient 6-year sentence for his cooperation, later violated probation repeatedly by getting involved with prostitution, drugs, and illegal weapons, prosecutors say.
It is Meskini's involvement with a prostitute during the years since his release from prison that may allow prosecutors to re-incarcerate him. Crystal Roughton, a 33-year-old hooker, said Meskini helped her create Internet ads and check the backgrounds of her clients—"so I didn't need a pimp." Roughton is also testifying about Meskini's attempts to locate an AK-47, possibly for future acts of terrorism.
