The fat lady may have sung and left the building, but Politico returns to the topic of Harry Reid's win—arguing that he got a helping hand from Sharron Angle’s disastrous Senate campaign. It reports that Angle's campaign was plagued from within by disorganization and misguided management. It began in a living room with only two staffers, one of whom—her campaign manager—was so politically inept he later begged Angle not to make a campaign appearance with John McCain.

The manager, Terry Campbell, knew little about the basics of the campaign as it went forward: how much money was available, what ads were playing—even whether President Obama had made an appearance in Nevada. “In the 20 years that I’ve been involved politically, I’ve never had the misfortune of working with such sheer, utter incompetence,” said this fall’s Republican Senatorial committee director. "If they were filming a sequel to the movie Dumb and Dumber, Terry Campbell would have a feature role." Click here for more tidbits. (More Sharron Angle stories.)
