Churn through enough news sites today, and you're bound to come across a 2007 clip of Joe Biden promising to lead an impeachment of President Bush if he attacks Iran without getting the approval of Congress, notes Mediaite. It's leading to charges of Libya hypocrisy along these lines from Ed Morrissey at Hot Air: "When the target of the attack is a country that hasn’t presented a threat to the US for years, it’s apparently no big deal ... especially if that president is a Democrat."
Eh, it's a "poor comparison," writes Mediaite's Tommy Christopher. "Biden was talking about a unilateral, full-scale attack on Iran, not a UN-led no-fly zone, for which there is plenty of precedent," he writes. "It’s just not the same thing." Keep in mind there's no way Obama is getting impeached over this, writes Jason Linkins at the Huffington Post.
