Rumors that Sarah Palin may have bought a house in Arizona, first reported this weekend, have brought quite a few TV news trucks to the area. Still no word from Palin’s camp, however; the deal for the 7,900-square-foot home, purchased for $1.7 million in cash, was done through the anonymous Delaware-registered Safari Investments LLC, the AP reports. If Palin is indeed the buyer, how will her new neighbors welcome her? “It concerns me just because we have a very peaceful neighborhood and I won't want it to get all messed up,” says one.
There has long been talk that Palin may move to Arizona, either to anchor her presidential run or to stage a campaign for the Senate seat Jon Kyl is vacating. Of course, she could simply need a home there for family reasons, as daughter Bristol purchased a 3,900-square-foot home near Phoenix last year. Either way, suspicions were raised further when no trespassing signs went up all around the home and a local TV crew was chased off by a man in a van with Alaska plates.
