The agency took its website offline after a denial of service attack, reports the BBC. Sensitive information was never at risk of falling into the hands of the group, whose other targets have included the CIA and the US Senate, officials insist.
The increasingly brazen group has declared that it is teaming up with Anonymous to take on governments and security firms. "Top priority is to steal and leak any classified government information, including email spools and documentation.
