Things are getting heated in Wisconsin: State supreme court justice Ann Walsh Bradley yesterday accused another justice of putting his hands around her neck in a "chokehold," reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The incident allegedly happed on June 13, when six of the state's seven supreme court justices gathered in Bradley's office to discuss a decision on the state's controversial limit on collective bargaining. When things got heated, Bradley told David Prosser to leave, and that's when he allegedly assaulted her.

But another source says that Bradley charged Prosser, and he "put his hands in a defensive posture," the source said. "He blocked her." For his part, Prosser denies any assault. Sources say the court has been highly contentious for years, and the incident is apparently under review at the Wisconsin Judicial Commission. (More Wisconsin stories.)
