Even with Stephon Marbury back in the starting lineup, the New York Knicks found themselves on the wrong end of an embarrassing loss, the New York Times reports. That familiar position—the 2-8 Knicks have dropped seven straight games—came courtesy of the small-ball game of Baron Davis and Golden State, who won with a resounding 108-82.

Davis ended with 31 points and seven assists, and Stephen Jackson added 23 points for the Warriors in a game where the hometown players, especially team-chemistry killer Marbury, were heartily booed. Through chants of "Fire Isiah," Knicks coach Isiah Thomas shouldered the loss, lamenting: "You never want to see this type of  basketball, anywhere." (More NBA stories.)
