The disappearance of an 11-year-old girl has left a small town in northern New Hampshire shaken and mystified. Celina Cass was last seen playing on a computer in her bedroom around 9pm Monday night. There's no clear indication that she ran away or was kidnapped, and there are no signs of a struggle, investigators tell AP.

Helicopters, dogs, boats, and all-terrain vehicles have been used to scour the area around Stewartstown, which lies just a mile from the Canadian border. The FBI has deployed a rapid-response team specializing in child abductions, and police are going through the home's phone and computer records. Celina's stepfather describes her as a quiet girl who would never have left home on her own. (More Celina Cass stories.)
