A good sign your Facebook date is not going well: Your would-be beau asks you to stop at a betting parlor, pops inside, then runs back into the car wielding a knife and a bag of money, shouting, "Drive, drive!" Such is the tale of the UK's Leah Gibbs, who connected with Adam Minton on Facebook, met him in person, and agreed to drive as he ran a quick "errand" on that very first meeting.
After the South Wales robbery, Minton had Gibbs drive back to his house and tried to get her inside, but police police quickly caught up and arrested them both, reports the Sun. The 21-year-old Minton saved the day, however, by confessing that Gibbs had no idea ahead of time about the robbery. She went free, and he got a sentence of four-plus years. "It was a date from hell," she said. Understatement: The Stir blog thinks it might qualify as the worst first date ever. (More Facebook stories.)
