A video of Anders Breivik minutes before he became a mass murderer has emerged. In chilling footage taken by security cameras in Oslo's government district, the Norwegian gunman can be seen walking away from a spot where he had planted bombs, clad in a police uniform and carrying a pistol, the Telegraph reports. The bombs killed eight people minutes later, and Breivik went on to massacre 69 people at an island youth camp.
The scene would have appeared on the screens of security officers monitoring the district, but nobody raised the alarm, notes Norwegian newspaper ABC Nyheter, labeling government security preparations "a total failure." Breivik, who has confessed to the killing spree, is due to appear in court next week, where judges will decide whether to continue keeping him in solitary confinement. His trial is not expected until next year. (More Anders Behring Breivik stories.)
