At Jon Bon Jovi’s new restaurant, you can get “cornmeal crusted catfish with red beans and rice” or “grilled salmon with soul seasonings” without paying a cent. The restaurant aims to feed the hungry—but that doesn’t mean the meal is totally free, the Christian Science Monitor reports. You can offer a donation, or “you can bus tables, you can wait tables, you can work in the kitchen as a dishwasher or sous chef,” the rocker says.
“If you come in and say, 'I'm hungry,' we'll feed you," he notes. "But we're going to need you to do something. It's very important to what we're trying to achieve." The restaurant is housed in a former auto body shop in New Jersey; its goal is to provide an alternative to soup kitchens, he says.
