A misdirected CBS email has triggered a charge by Michele Bachmann's campaign that the network is trying to freeze out the candidate because of its liberal bias. An email sent by CBS political analyst John Dickerson—whose recipients mistakenly included a member of Bachmann's campaign—stated that Bachmann would likely be asked few questions in the last night's debate because of her current standing, reports the Los Angeles Times.

"As Michele prepared her plans to debate on CBS, we received concrete evidence confirming what every conservative already knows—the liberal mainstream media elites are manipulating the Republican debates by purposely suppressing our conservative message," Bachmann's campaign manager, Keith Nahigian, wrote in an email to supporters. CNN adds that a furious Nahigian tore through the spin room and was heard saying, "John Dickerson should be fired. He is a piece of shit. He is a fraud and he should be fired." CBS is sticking by its position. The email was a "candid exchange about the reality of the circumstances—Bachmann remains at 4% in the polls,” the network said in a statement.
