Grab your holiday wish list, because you are definitely going to want to add this to it: Coming out on Tuesday is a CD of love songs penned by none other than former Italian prime minister and famed bunga bunga party thrower Silvio Berlusconi. Apparently Berlusconi once worked as a cruise ship singer—and the Telegraph notes that he is known to sing at those bunga bunga parties—but tragically, you won’t hear his vocal stylings on this album.
Rather, Mariano Apicella will sing the songs written by the former PM; the two have released similar collaborations before. The songs, Apicella says, deal with unrequited love and longing. Sample lyrics: "I run my hands down your side, because it's you. I adore you and I already miss you.” Want more? “Another day of wind and rain, another night without you.” Don’t act so surprised; Berlusconi always had a way with words.
