Tragedy in France, where a 3-year-old boy died after allegedly being locked in a washing machine on Friday. The boy’s 33-year-old father is accused of putting his naked son into the washer as punishment for flushing drawings belonging to a classmate down a toilet. The child died after his father allegedly turned on the cold wash cycle, reports MyFox Washington, citing Le Parisien.

The child’s mother, 25, released the boy from the machine and ran him to a neighbor’s house, but initially claimed he had fallen down the stairs. The couple’s 5-year-old daughter told neighbors the truth, and said her brother had also been locked in closets before. The father was arrested soon after the incident and charged with murder. The mother was also charged. (More murder stories.)
