Alec Baldwin, scourge of travel companies everywhere: American Airlines is mad at him, flight attendants want him off their planes, and now Greyhound has a bone to pick with the actor. In his apology to passengers that ran on the Huffington Post, he noted that flight attendants like the one he infamously encountered on Tuesday have turned flying into a "Greyhound bus experience." The bus company's president and CEO, Dave Leach, addressed Baldwin in a not-exactly-harsh letter yesterday.
Leach starts by basically justifying the comment: "I'm the first to admit that Greyhound has had some challenges in the past," he wrote, "so I understand that you probably were basing your comments on that alone." But things are different now! Really! "We've made so many changes in recent years to significantly improve the travel experience," Leach explained, rattling off improvements like leather seats, more legroom, and WiFi, reports CNN. Another perk for would-be travelers: "We don't require our customers to turn off their electronic devices ... ever. You could therefore play 'Words With Friends' during your entire trip and nobody would give you any grief over it." He invited the actor to step aboard and ride with him from NYC to Boston.
