Katy Perry spoke out for the first time since her divorce from Russell Brand was announced, tweeting an apparent reprimand to her parents on Saturday. "Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family," she wrote. (Her parents had said that her divorce was God's way of getting more people into church.) Perry also tweeted that the "love and support" from fans has made her "heart happy again."
TMZ reports that parents Keith and Mary Hudson abided by her wishes, making no mention of their daughter's divorce during yesterday's sermon. Keith Hudson did, however, make a joke about the paparazzi: "I know the bishop asked all the first-time visitors to stand, but I'd like to ask all the press to stand," he said. "We want to locate you. ... We want to get you saved, so you can write good stuff! Amen!" Click for more on the Hudsons' more controversial sermon last week. (More Katy Perry stories.)
