George Huguely cried in court today as prosecutors played a videotape of the police interview in which he was told on-and-off girlfriend Yeardley Love was dead, reports ABC News. In that interview, the University of Virginia senior admitted that he "shook her a little bit, and she started freaking out." He said he may have grabbed her neck "during all that commotion" as he tried to "restrain her," but he said he didn't think he hurt her.
When the police officer informs Huguely that she was dead, he breaks down in the tape. “She’s not dead. She’s not. She’s not. I don’t believe you,” he said. “I’d never do anything to her. I love her.” Huguely was "visibly shaken" watching the interview in court, adds the Charlottesville Daily Progress. See previous stories on the case here. (More George Huguely stories.)
